So let's say Julius does change his mind, and gives Chris an allowance of $6 a week. If the leather jacket Chris wants costs $42, how many weeks will he have to save for before he can afford it?
Let's also say that Tonya then asks her dad for her own allowance and, because she is younger than Chris, she only gets $4 a week. If she wants a dress that costs $24, and she also saves all her money, how many weeks will it be before she can buy it?
