Review: understanding common percents
You can find many common percents mentally, without using a calculator. look at the equivalent fractions or numbers for the common percents listed below:
10%=10/100=1/10 100%=100/100=1
25%=25/100=1/2 200%=200/100=2
50%=50/100=1/2
What you should know
To find 10% of a number, move the decimal point one place to the left in the number
To find 25% of a number, divide the number by 4
To find 50% of a number, divide the number by 2
100% of a number is itself
to find 200% of a number, double the number
