Apathy

Apathy: noun: absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement.
2. lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting.

We have a problem.... we are not taking our 8th grade success seriously! Too many of you are refusing to complete assignments and worse, those that choose to complete them, are handing in mediocre work! This is unacceptable!! People, we need to understand what is expected of us (which I am pretty sure you do) and comply! Right now, we understand that you feel overworked (which you are not) and under appreciated (which is possible). However, you must stay steadfast with your goals and succeed. Persevere!!

As it stands, both class averages are holding steady around 60%. This is due to lack of homework completion and very poor test grades. If i do the math (and science) it is evident that not doing homework negatively affects my test grades, which in turn negatively affects your overall score.

Fix your attitudes. The more negative you are, the harder this life will be. Make it a bit easier on yourself.

Follow your syllabus. It is your plan for success. Someone has written a way for you to score 100% in a class. Why would you NOT read and follow it?

This is your warning. This week will be your final adjustment period. Detentions are next. Parent conferences are next. You may think we are playing, I am here to tell you, we are not.

Get it together. Now.

  1. Ms.Ayers I understand everything but there are some people who don't appreciate what they have. Back then people were fighting just to have a good education but this generation is way off. kids don't understand the full meaning of being successful. But I know that I will do my best. I can achieve anything that I have my head set for.
